"What's your f.u.c.king problem?"

"I don't know. Saint has done a great deal to make it so no one knows about Elena being his sister, and yet everyone knows. It's kind of pointless, don't you think?"

"He was protecting her."

"Yet, he's done more damage trying to protect her. Just the way it looks to me."

Pipe couldn't argue with him. Elena was in pain, and when it came to her brother he saw it clearly in her eyes. She was damaged by something in her life, and he just wanted to know in what way she was damaged.

Chapter Three.

"You kissed Pipe!"

Elena cringed as she stared across the sofa at her friend. They had arrived at Sarah's place twenty minutes ago, donned some pajamas, and were eating ice cream. No one had stopped them, which she was thankful for.

"Don't tell anyone."

"I've got no one to tell. I work at Dirty Deeds, Elena. I've got no connection to the club whatsoever."

"What about Ralf?"

"He left, remember? I'm on my own." Sarah gritted her teeth, fighting the tears that were about to come.

She took several deep breaths before returning her gaze back to Elena.

"Are you okay?"

"No, I'm not okay. You know how television shows say that a woman needs to forget about the man in their life, and just have fun, going crazy, s.c.r.e.w.i.n.g whatever man will look their way?"

"I don't think that actually happens, but I see what you mean, in a roundabout fas.h.i.+on."

"I'm not that strong. I love Ralf. He's everything to me, and when I'm with him, the whole world falls away. I'm hurt, and I'm hurting. It's not going to go away just because he's left." Sarah licked her lips. "He was my first."

"Your first love?"

"No, he was my first everything. That's how much I love him. I couldn't bring myself to be with any other man, and he's it for me. I love him. I love him with all my heart, and there's no one I want more than him." Sarah shrugged. "Knife, he was nice, and we danced. He didn't invade my s.p.a.ce, or make it personal. We just talked, and it was nice."

"You don't think there could be anything between you and another man?"

Sarah released a heavy sigh. A lot of people seemed to be doing that just lately around her. Elena didn't know if she should start taking offence at it.

"Not straight away. It hasn't been long enough since Ralf left. I'll date again, but it's just going to take time."

Elena nodded, dipping her spoon into the ice cream, and eating some.

"So, you and Pipe?"

Rolling her eyes, Elena finished eating the ice cream, and took some more. "There's nothing to tell."

"There has to be something to tell."

"Okay, fine. The day of Penny and Rage's wedding, I went to that bar. Pipe was there, and it wasn't two clubs, or his club, or anything. We were just a man and a woman, having a drink, and some fun together. That was all. Nothing bad or seedy."

"You like him?"

"I do. It scares me because when we are together-and it has only been twice-but the feeling has been the same. He's the first guy to really look at me, and see me. Does that make sense?"

"Complete sense."

"I feel like a woman when I'm with him. Saint falls away. Mom ceases to exist inside my head. All the negative c.r.a.p just disappears, and we're two people."

"He makes your heart pound?"

"Yes. He does, and his kiss was out of this world. I've never been kissed like that, and he drives me crazy. It's not going to end well for me." Elena took a deep breath. "Pipe's the Prez of the h.e.l.l's Wolves, and they're not exactly best friends with my brother's club."

"It doesn't always have to be about the club."

Elena laughed. "It does. To these men, there's nothing more important than the club. Nothing will happen. It's just nice when I'm near him."

Sarah was about to talk when the apartment door was slammed open. Ralf, Rage, w.i.l.l.y, and Saint came rus.h.i.+ng into the apartment.

In that moment Elena was so pleased they had changed into their pajamas. Ralf looked murderous, bordering on crazy, and her brother just looked p.i.s.sed.

That's right. I'm just the nuisance of a sister who has to be dealt with.

"Your car was at the main bar tonight on the high road, just outside of Sinners' Corner," Saint said.

The very words he spoke were like an accusation.

"So?" Elena asked.

"What were you doing there?"

Glancing toward Sarah, she saw her friend was glaring at Ralf.

"We went to have a little fun. Do you have a problem with that?" Elena asked.

"You know the h.e.l.l's Wolves were there tonight?" Saint asked, folding his arms.

"Is this an interrogation, Saint? Is that what this is?" Elena stood to her feet, not caring that her pajamas were visible to the club. She was the untouchable sister, so she shouldn't have a problem at all with any club member staring at her.

"You're in danger anywhere near that club."

"We went to have a drink outside of town. I go anywhere here, and I've got a Saint and Sinner breathing down my f.u.c.king neck. There, I can go, and have a nice drink, and be left alone. It's a neutral bar. Nothing happens there."

Saint laughed. "Anything could happen in a neutral bar, Elena. The protection is a f.u.c.king fallacy."

"You and other club members agree not to wear your patch. No patch, no fighting. Your word means a great deal to a lot of men. Are you telling me you'd start a fight because some men were in a bar?"

"I'd start a fight if those men thought they could touch my sister."

"f.u.c.k off, Saint. I don't need your protection. I've never needed it before, and I don't want it now."

"You've never needed my protection. Mom took care of you. What is this, Elena? Why are you acting out like a d.a.m.n child?"

She shoved him hard. Saint didn't know what it was like with their mother. He didn't know anything, and to just make out she'd always been protected, p.i.s.sed her off. She knew it was her fault as well. Elena should tell him what happened, but she couldn't do it. Admitting what happened would just bring back the memories, and she didn't want that.

"Get the f.u.c.k out. This is Sarah's place only, and the last time I checked, this didn't belong to any of your f.u.c.king club!"

Elena looked toward her friend, who had also stood, and she nodded. "This isn't your place anymore, Ralf. You don't belong here."

"Get out." Elena was tired of being told what she should or shouldn't do.

"This is my place," Ralf said, taking a step toward Sarah.

"You walked out on me, Ralf. This place is now mine."

Stepping back, Elena stood by her friend, and glared at the four men. "We work for the club, nothing else," Elena said.

Saint looked like he wanted to say something else, but he didn't, and took a step back.

"Fine," Saint said. "Let's get out of here." Like always, he backed away.

Elena waited until the door was closed, and Sarah rushed to lock the door.

"What the h.e.l.l just happened?" Sarah asked.

"He made me mad, and I'm tired of being told what to do when he doesn't have a right to." Elena's hands fisted, and she wanted to hurt something. Instead, she refrained.

Saint wasn't going to tell her what to do. She wouldn't let him.

"What the f.u.c.k was that?" Rage asked.

Saint shook his head, and stared up at the apartment where his sister was staying the night. Something was going on with her, but she wouldn't open up to him. She cut him out, and ever since their mother had taken her from him, Elena had been different. Saint recalled his father trying to get Elena back, and fighting with his mother to even speak to her.

"Lou, you can't keep her from me. I'm her f.u.c.king father. You're wrong about that."

His father had never stopped trying to get to Elena, until finally the courts had decreed that their mother got custody of Elena, and he stayed with his father. The Saints and Sinners MC was always going to be his club. He had to learn to take over, to fight for what he believed in.

"What is it?" Rage asked.

"Nothing. You and Sarah called it quits?" Saint asked.

"We need to take a break. That doesn't mean she has the right to go looking for another man."

w.i.l.l.y burst out laughing. "Man, you're delusional. You're at the clubhouse, surrounded by free p.u.s.s.y, and you think she's not going to see you as f.u.c.king over?"

"We're not over, and I'm not tasting any of that so-called free p.u.s.s.y."

"Doesn't matter to her. You walked out, and now she can taste the fruits of the men out there." w.i.l.l.y gave Ralf a wink. "I'd certainly give her a taste of my d.i.c.k."

Ralf wasted no time in slamming his fist against w.i.l.l.y's face.

Saint wasn't interested in fighting. Stepping between the two men, he shoved them apart.

"Show some f.u.c.king respect," he said to w.i.l.l.y. Turning to Ralf, he glared. "What the f.u.c.k did you expect would happen? That she would just be d.a.m.n happy with you doing that kind of s.h.i.+t?"

"Saint?"

"No. You left your woman, and it's not your place to f.u.c.king take over. She wants to spend time with w.i.l.l.y or any other man, she can. The moment you walked away, she no longer stayed as your woman."

"What about taking another man's woman?" Rage asked.

"I don't see any patches on Sarah, or any ink stating who she belongs to. You don't claim her, you don't have the right to tell other brothers what they can have." Saint moved away from the group, rage consuming him at what his sister had said and done.

He wasn't surprised when Rage came to stand beside him.

"Are you okay, man?"

"No. I'm not okay."

"What's going on?"

Glancing up at the apartment, he was disappointed that neither woman was even looking out at them. "Have you ever been related to someone who is nothing but a stranger to you?"

"Can't say that I have."

"Elena-growing up together before Mom took her away, we were the best of friends. She'd tell me s.h.i.+t about kids bullying her at school. I was her big brother, and she always said I'd protect her from the bad s.h.i.+t."

"That's changed?"

"The woman I see in Elena's body, she's cold, and she doesn't let anyone in. I don't even have a clue what to do to change that."

"She hasn't been around all that much. Something will change, and you'll be surprised."

Saint shook his head. "I doubt it. I really f.u.c.king doubt it." He straddled his bike and made his way out toward the clubhouse.

To help clear his mind he needed a dirty mouthed woman who didn't have a problem taking his c.o.c.k. He would rid his mind of the worries that Elena had created.
