A Fight of Life and Death
“Hua’la!”
Fang Han’s sword pierced through a desert bandit’s scaly armor, completely stabbing a hole in their heart. Meanwhile, the bandit’s strike only left a blade mark on Fang Han’s magic clothes.
Killing!
Suffering blows!
Taking lives!
Dodging and evading!
Killing again!
Fang Han rushed into the middle of the desert bandits, his body agile like a monkey, his sword flowing like a stream of stars. His qi was cruel and violent, and becoming increasingly denser. He was also gaining more and more combat experience through killing.
This was true combat, and not a test. It was vastly different from his spars with Hong Yi.
Swords cut and arrows flew amid the hundred thousand desert bandits. Any ounce of hesitation, and one would immediately be killed on the spot. In such a ma.s.s, there was no luck at all.
What did it mean to temper one’s will to fight?
Obviously, it meant to fight on the battlefield, to face thousands of soldiers and horses, to enter the thicket of blades and arrows without fear. The desert bandits were a very fierce army, each bandit armed with a sword. Facing such a fierce army, especially by oneself, truly tested one’s courage, wisdom, strength, and luck.
This was Fang Han’s first time killing actual living people. At the beginning, there was some getting used to it, but once a desert bandit’s sliced across his neck, nearly cutting off half his face, his nervousness disappeared, only leaving behind killing intent. Piercing through vital areas, dodging, he, like a sharp sword, took the lives of others.
One life after another disappeared under his sword. With each bandit that fell, Fang Han’s spirit became more sensitive, feeling the qi of the spirits around him.
Fang Han himself seemed to have become death, unendingly harvesting the lives of those around him
The desert bandits who had surrounded these Yu’hua School disciples contained at least two thousand people, all of them fierce and vicious, and numbed to the feeling of killing people. Their curved blades flashed beautifully, as if cutting gold and breaking jade. There was a fair number of experts among the bandits.
[TL: This author uses expert quite loosely, sorry if they just get wrecked]
When they had rushed over to kill, their momentum was enough to cause everyone to freeze.
What were martial experts most afraid of?
They were most afraid of being surrounded by an army and killed. Against thousands of soldiers and horses, many martial arts were unable to be used, as swords and arrows have no eyes.
Although Fang Han’s strength had long since been drawn out, he was still much more overbearing than a regular Divine Realm expert. Facing this constant danger, if not for his ‘Devil Beheading Sword’, which cut iron like mud due to being imbued with a sharp edge magic and his body protecting magic clothes which couldn’t be pierced by swords nor arrows, he would have been hacked to death more than ten times already.
Even so, his hands and neck were covered with many bruised lines where a sword had hit.
Fortunately, his body had refined the ‘Nine Aperture Golden Pellet’, making his recovery ability very great. Even without a ‘Blood Stopping Talisman’, he could immediately staunch his wounds. As for Hong Yi and Liu Kang who were beside him, the ‘Jade Blood Stopping Talismans’ upon their bodies unendingly flashed with radiance as the talismans repaired their light wounds.
‘Jade Blood Stopping Talismans’ were refined from many spiritual medicines. Inside, they were filled with magic powers. Upon being circulated through one’s body, the medicinal powers inside would be turned into steam, and apply itself to the skin and muscles, staunching the bleeding, repelling poisonous qi, and helping one recover their strength.
“Fang Han! Watch out!”
‘Qiang!’
Just when Fang Han had become slightly distracted, a curved blade, like the moon in the sky, suddenly appeared in front of his eyes. It was as if evil spirits suddenly escaped from their imprisonment, as if moonlight was falling from the sky – unable to be stopped.
‘Weng weng weng weng weng.’
Fang Han only felt the hair on his neck suddenly stand up as he watched the blade fall towards his neck, about to take his head from his body; he had no chance to react.
Right at this critical moment, Hong Yi suddenly struck out her sword. Like lightning piercing through the clouds, she managed to deflect the curved sword, saving Fang Han from his crisis.
“Just who is it that is using such high level martial arts! Especially the curved blade, it feels as if it’s a bewitching spirit of evil light. This kind of martial arts can only appear after one has trained to the tenth level of G.o.dly Transformation!”
Upon training to the G.o.dly Transformation level, one’s martial arts would be even closer to the pinnacle; one’s skills would become infused with spiritual powers. With just one fist, one could give off illusions, confusing the enemy’s spirit.
By this level, one would be just steps from breaking through to the Divine Realm.
The desert bandits scattered like the rus.h.i.+ng tide, leaving behind a full ground of corpses.
‘Dong! Dong! Dong! Dong! Dong!’
No one knew who had struck the war drums, but suddenly, a desert bandit wearing white clothes appeared within Fang Han’s line of sight. Today, among the many desert bandits that he had killed, Fang Han had only seen ones wearing black or yellow clothes which matched the colors of the desert. Only this one bandit wore white clothes, which surprisingly, were devoid of any trace of blood and dirt.
“Yu’hua disciples are truly extraordinary! You guys retreat, I’ll bring up the rear!”
A magnetic sounding hoa.r.s.e voice came out from the mouth of the white clothed desert bandit. Only now did Fang Han realize that this white clothed desert bandit was very young. However, the bandit’s face was covered by their veil, thus causing Fang Han to be unable to see their true face.
The most striking thing, though, was the curved blade that the bandit wielded. It fluctuated like mercury, and was long and large, a full six chi. It could obviously easily cut a horse in half.
“Evil Moon Prince! He is the leader of the desert bandits, known as the son of the desert! If we capture him and hand him over to the Yu’hua School elders, not only will we be able to receive spots for the inner disciple promotion tournament, but also to receive ling’qi! It is most likely that he has already entered the Divine Realm! In his early years, he ate a huge six-winged desert blood bat, causing his flesh to be even more powerful than that of a normal Divine Realm expert. One of the tasks on the Yu’hua School’s school gate was to capture the person!”
Right at this time, a whirlwind of killing intent was released. It was Prince Bao of the Da’de Empire, along with two males and females – they were all outer court disciples.
“You want to catch me? I’m coming!”
Suddenly, the Evil Moon Prince took a step, and exploded away, like a thousand li horse, traversing a full thirty to forty steps before using his ‘Evil Moon Curved Blade’ to behead once again.
Fang Han, upon seeing the sword light upon the ‘Evil Moon Curved Blade’ couldn’t help but feel as if his spirit was being sucked over by it. He was unable to move his hands and feet.
Fortunately, he had already experienced it, and was able to immediately use the ‘Primary Spiritual Technique’ to sober up his mind. His magic sword flying up into the sky, he used ‘Seven Star Loop Link’ to block the oncoming sword light.
‘Dang dang dang, dang dang dang.’
Fang Han blocked the sword light, and began to counterattack, only to realize that there was already no one in front of him. The ‘Evil Moon Prince’s movement technique was too fast, like teleportation. The only remnant was his shadow, and the heads of the seven/eight people who had been beheaded. Each of these Yu’hua School outer court disciples had suffered a blow of his blade.
‘Ding ding dang dang, ding ding dang dang!’
In front of Fang Han’s eyes that curved blade with evil qi once again came over, aiming to behead him. A dense killing intent completely covered the heavens and earth around him. He became unable to see anything else around him, and his spirit was once again being sucked by the curved blade.
Fang Han commanded himself to block, his own sword light flying, consecutively blocking ten strikes, before suddenly, the pressure in front of him suddenly loosened. By this point, the desert bandits had already cleanly retreated. With but a single movement, the Evil Moon Prince had already moved a distance of ten steps. A few more ups and downs, and he was already gone, disappeared into the desert once again.
Surrounding the disciples were only hundreds of ‘White Dragon Camels’ and a sea of dead bodies.
The leader of the desert bandits, the ‘Evil Moon Prince’, had tied up all the disciples so that his underlings could escape.
His skills were powerful, his physique was strong, and his speed was fast to the point impossible to comprehend.
Fang Han had never seen before such a powerful person, let alone such a strange skill.
“Should we chase or not!”
“Forget about it, we’re too exhausted. Moreover, we don’t have any ling’qi, thus making it impossible for us to fight the Evil Moon Prince. The power of his skills was too great. If we chase into his ambush, he will kill us all. Let us just watch senior sister disciple Mo subdue Devils!”
Prince Bao and several other people held a discussion. The idea of chasing was struck down by a princess, and they agreed to be cautious for now.
“If senior sister disciple Mo is successful in subduing that Devil, her achievements will be great beyond comparison, ah.” Prince Bao coldly looked at Fang Han, as if he was dissatisfied that Fang Han hadn’t died at the hands of the desert bandits.
However, afterwards, he turned his eyes upward to watch the fight in the sky.
Senior sister disciple Mo and the four inner court disciples were all focused on controlling their flying swords, which, along with Yuan Jian Kong’s ‘Silver Snake Sword’, had encircled the Pink Prince.
As for those ten Flying Yasha, they were still in midair, completely restrained by the ‘Sky Rooster Yang Rope’, roaring as they struggled to break free. They were unable to fly away, as the other end of the rope was still being held in the hands of senior sister disciple Mo.
In the current situation, it was as if senior sister disciple Mo was flying a kite, restraining these ten Flying Yasha until the Pink Prince was beheaded. Afterwards, they could finish off these ten Flying Yasha together.
These Yasha, although they had been pierced through the heart already by flying swords, they were only weakened, and not truly dead.
That bao’qi, it must be truly priceless! If it was restraining me, would the ‘Picture of the Hidden Yellow Dragon Spring’ still be able to seal it? A treasure, it truly is a treasure. Just by using it, ten Flying Yasha were restrained. If not for this bao’qi, then currently, we would have suffered great losses. But, to everyone’s surprise, senior sister disciple Mo actually had a bao’qi. Just what kind of person is she? Whose did she borrow?
Fang Han watched for a long time, his mind unceasingly pondering about the bao’qi.
The Pink Prince was currently suspended in midair, his pink flying sword constantly flying back and forth, blocking all of the oncoming sword light. As for the clothes on his body, they left off wave after wave of pink light, forming a protective ball of light.
Some of the flying swords’ sword light would hack at the protective ball, resulting in an explosion of pink.
None of them had trained to the Divine Realm yet, and were heavily relying on their magic treasures to fight.
“If senior sister disciple Mo succeeds this time, there will be no need for her to go to the Blue Moon Country. She can immediately return to the Yu’hua School, hand the Pink Prince over to the school elders, and receive a ‘Yin Yang Longevity Pellet’ for her accomplishments!” whispered Liu Kang as he watched the battle.
“Pink Princes are not so easy to behead! Although senior sister disciple Mo planned ahead and borrowed a bao’qi, we still don’t know whether or not this Pink Prince knows any escape skills. Even if this Pink Prince is killed, the credit will not fall onto us. At most, we will only gain inner disciple promotion tournament spots,” said Hong Yi, as she focused on watching the fight.
Fang Han truly wanted to take out his own flying sword and test it, but currently, he couldn’t expose it. Otherwise, once senior sister disciple Mo killed the Demon, she would turn on him.
My strength is still very shallow. I must keep undergoing bitter training, but then again, this combat, especially the fight with the Evil Moon Prince, benefit me a lot, and helped me temper my spirit.
Fang Han thought about his life and death fight, and then his combat practice. It had been much more beneficial to him than months of closed door training would have been.
“The Pink Prince has begun to counterattack! Victory or defeat will be decided in this one strike!” suddenly shouted Hong Yi.
Sure enough, the Pink Prince who as encompa.s.sed by that pink light sphere suddenly roared, another pink light sphere appearing in his hands. This pink sphere was pushed outwards by him, and touched a streak of sword light. It suddenly exploded!
“Six Wishes Yang Mine!”
