Chapter 1155 Don’t Get Too Close to My Wife (I)
By the time Lu Boyan and Su Jian’an settled the two little kids down, the pointer on the clock on the wall was pointing to the number nine.
Lu Boyan took Su Jianan’s hand and asked, “Are you hungry?”
Su Jian’an had no appet.i.te every time she had her period, but after a busy morning, she was really hungry.
She nodded, handed the two little kids to Aunt Liu, and went downstairs with Lu Boyan.
The chef had prepared breakfast, two sets of very authentic western-style breakfasts. She also prepared a plate of fruit for Su Jian’an.
Su Jian’an didn’t have much appet.i.te. She didn’t eat much breakfast, but she ate a lot of fruit.
The fresh fruits at home were delivered every day, and it was a bit cold today. Lu Boyan considered that Su Jianan was feeling uncomfortable with her belly, so he did not want her to eat too much fruit.
However, Su Jian’an had no appet.i.te for soybeans, roasted tomatoes, and the like on the plate. She looked at Lu Boyan pitifully and pleaded silently.
Lu Boyan could not bear to force Su Jian’an, so he finally compromised and said, “I’ll ask the chef to make porridge for you tomorrow.”
“Mm!” Su Jian’an happily ate a small piece of pomelo. “Okay!”
After the two finished breakfast, Mu Sijue and Bai Tang arrived.
Mu Sijue was still dressed in black, and his handsome face was aloof and serious. There was a faint murderous look in his every move.
He seemed to be born with a kind of indifference to others, like an emotionless cold-blooded animal.
No wonder Xu Youning didn’t have the confidence to think that Mu Sijue would fall in love with her at that time.
However, Bai Tang was the one who surprised Su Jian’an.
She had thought that Bai Tang and Lu Boyan should be of the same age, but she did not expect that the young man was much younger than her husband.
Bai Tang seemed to be only 25 or 26 years old. He had curly flaxen hair and a very particular hairstyle. His facial features were delicate and emphatic. His skin was even fairer than that of an ordinary girl.
Bai Tang turned out to be a policeman with such an appearance.
The way he looked was a far cry from the image of the police that Su Jian’an was familiar with.
Bai Tang was wearing a casual suit and a pair of white sneakers. He looked neat and fas.h.i.+onable and had a good figure with slender legs and broad shoulders.
If he worked in the entertainment industry, he would be a popular handsome star.
If he was in the crowd, he would be a perfect Prince Charming.
Perhaps it was because he was young, Bai Tang’s handsome face had a wisp of arrogance, and it was very easy for others to a.s.sociate him with a rebellious young man that refused to submit to others.
According to Su Jian’an’s experience, this kind of person either had extraordinary ability or an amazing background.
Coincidentally, Bai Tang had both.
Therefore, it was not surprising that he was cool, arrogant, and domineering.
Su Jian’an thought for a moment and felt that Yuechuan should be on guard against Bai Tang.
Yunyun tended to be infatuated with handsome men like Bai Tang.
What Su Jian’an didn’t know was that while she was thinking about Bai Tang, he was also paying attention to her.
Bai Tang had been traveling around the world since high school, and his tracks covered most of the countries in the world.
He had seen all kinds of people, including some peerless beauties with amazing facial features and amazing figures.
However, it was the first time that he had seen a lady like Su Jian’an.
Su Jian’an was very beautiful. This could almost be recognized by most people.
However, in this era where science and technology were highly developed, beautiful appearances were not lacking.
What really stunned Bai Tang was that Su Jian’an was the kind of person who amazed people at first sight.
It was not only because of Su Jian’an’s exquisite facial features but also because of her neat and elegant temperament. She was n.o.ble but not aloof. Instead, she made people feel very close to her.
Bai Tang thought for a long time and finally came up with an appropriate way to describe Su Jian’an. She was a woman who would make people happy.
What he couldn’t figure out was – how could such a beautiful woman as Su Jian’an be born in such an ordinary world.
After a moment of confusion, Bai Tang felt relieved.
G.o.d created Su Jian’an and Lu Boyan.
Perhaps only a man like Lu Boyan would be qualified to marry Su Jian’an.
Except for Lu Boyan, Bai Tang really couldn’t think of anyone else who would be suitable to be with Su Jian’an.
In this way, it was reasonable for some media to describe Lu Boyan and Su Jian’an as a perfect match.
Thinking of this, Bai Tang couldn’t help but show an expression of approval and nod.
Mu Sijue noticed that Bai Tang was absent-minded. He didn’t need to guess to know that it was because of Su Jian’an.
Bai Tang had never seen Lu Boyan possessive of Su Jian’an, so he naturally did not know that if he was so absent-minded again, the next time he saw Su Jian’an would be decades later.
Mu Sijue elbowed Bai Tang and hit him in the ribs with a move.
Bai Tang was caught off guard and felt as if he had a side st.i.tch while running. He covered his ribs in pain and screamed. He glared at Mu Sijue with hatred and asked in a low voice, “Mu Qi, did you do it on purpose?”
“Idiot,” Mu Sijue said lightly, “I was trying to save you.”
“I don’t need you to save me. You just did it on purpose!” Bai Tang glared fiercely at Mu Sijue. Immediately, he switched back to his usual romantic and handsome appearance and walked gracefully to Su Jian’an. “Hey, nice to meet you. I’m Bai Tang.”
“I know you.” Su Jian’an smiled, “Boyan has told me about the story of your name.”
Bai Tang was speechless.
Bai Tang thought that he had heard it wrong. “Did Su Jian’an say that Lu Boyan had told her the story of my name?
“That is to say, she may find it funny.
“It’s not a big deal for those ordinary people to misunderstand something within, but Su Jian’an is gorgeous.
“I can’t allow a gorgeous lady to misunderstand me!”
Bai Tang looked at Lu Boyan with a fake smile. “Boss Lu, you’re so busy, and yet you still find time to tell others about my name. I can’t thank you enough.”
“You’re welcome,” Lu Boyan said in a sarcastic tone. “I don’t want Jian’an to misunderstand you because of your name.”
“Hahaha…” Bai Tang gave an awkward laugh. He then turned to look at Su Jian’an and explained, “It’s easy to misunderstand my name at first, but in fact, it has a wonderful meaning!”
Su Jian’an kept her smile and nodded. “I also know that.”
“You even know this?” Bai Tang thought for a moment, looked at Su Jian’an seriously, and asked with great expectation, “How much do you know about me?”
Su Jian’an didn’t say anything.
She swore that she knew this much.
“But why does Bai Tang ask this?”
Su Jian’an could not understand for a moment. She looked at Bai Tang in confusion and did not know what to say.
“Jian’an, don’t worry about him.” Lu Boyan took Su Jian’an’s hand and hid her behind him. He warned Bai Tang. “Don’t try to get too close to my wife.”
“Lu Boyan, you’re really mean!” Bai Tang was angry when he saw Lu Boyan. He said unwillingly, “I just heard from Yuechuan that you are in love with someone, so you don’t get close to other women. I was wondering what kind of person could make an energetic young man like you so aloof. Now I know that if I have a girlfriend like Jian’an, I wouldn’t love anyone else either!”
Lu Boyan smiled and said meaningfully, “My wife also doesn’t love anyone else.”
The implication was that Bai Tang could give up, and it was impossible for Su Jian’an to like him.
Bai Tang was still a proud young man, and he didn’t believe what Lu Boyan said. He looked at Lu Boyan provocatively and said, “Are you sure? You didn’t dare to make it public who you loved because you were afraid of having me as your rival.”
A mocking smile appeared on Lu Boyan’s face. “I knew Jian’an when she was ten years old. For so many years, I have never met an opponent.”
Bai Tang was shocked. “Why?”
Su Jian’an was so beautiful. How could Lu Boyan have no opponents?
Lu Boyan said slowly, “Those people aren’t a match for me at all.”
Only then did Bai Tang realize that it was not because Lu Boyan had never met an opponent before, but none of those people were worthy of being his rival in love.
Bai Tang had seen too much of Lu Boyan’s arrogance, so he was very familiar with it.
The sad thing was, he still had no way to crack it.
Bai Tang decided to turn to Su Jian’an and stretched out his hand to her, saying, “Nice to meet you.”
Su Jian’an gently held Bai Tang’s hand and smiled. “Nice to meet you too.”
Bai Tang looked at Su Jian’an, and countless skills of flirting came to his mind. He suddenly said, “I regret it now.”
Su Jian’an was surprised and asked with uncertainty, “Do you regret meeting me?”
Bai Tang let go of Su Jianan’s hand and looked at her thoughtfully. “My dad said that you used to work in the Munic.i.p.al Bureau. If I followed his arrangement and returned home immediately after graduation, maybe I could know you before you marry Boyan.”
Su Jian’an pretended not to understand the meaning of Bai Tang’s words and said with a smile, “We can still be friends now.”
The implication was that no matter when she and Bai Tang met, they could only be friends.
Bai Tang was speechless.
He was extremely frustrated. He looked at Lu Boyan unwillingly and kept having a feeling that Lu Boyan was just pretending to be calm, but in fact, he must be very proud.
“This is so annoying!”
Lu Boyan did not intend to pay any more attention to Bai Tang. He walked up to Su Jian’an and took her hand. “Go back to our bedroom and have a rest. I’m going to the study to discuss something with Sijue.”
“I’m not tired.” Su Jian’an said, “Shall I make some coffee for you guys?”
Usually, Lu Boyan would be very happy to hear that.
But today, he felt that Su Jian’an should rest.
“Leave that to Uncle Xu.” Lu Boyan told Su Jian’an, “It’s not appropriate for you to do any ch.o.r.es now. Go back to the bedroom and have a good rest.”
Su Jian’an was indeed feeling a little uncomfortable, but she could still move.
However, at this time, she didn’t need to explain that to Lu Boyan. She nodded obediently and watched him take Mu Sijue and Bai Tang upstairs.
After Lu Boyan and the other two entered the study, Su Jian’an first went to check on Xiyu and Xiangyi.
The two little kids had been taken back to the children’s room by Aunt Liu, and they were both lying obediently on the baby beds.
Su Jian’an touched their faces and said, “Be good, and don’t cry. I’m going to make coffee for your daddy.”
Xiyu pouted and put his fist to his mouth. After a while, he seemed to suddenly think of something and obediently put down his hand. He looked at Su Jian’an with a pair of black eyes that were very similar to Lu Boyan’s for a moment.
“See you in a while!”
Su Jian’an kissed the faces of the two little kids, turned around, went downstairs, and went straight into the kitchen.
She and Lu Boyan both liked coffee, and there was a complete set of coffee equipment at home. If they wanted to make a cup of coffee with good taste, they just needed a pack of nice coffee beans.
Su Jian’an skillfully operated the coffee machine and soon made three cups of coffee. She put them on a tray and took them to the second floor.
This time, Lu Boyan closed the study’s door.
It seemed that the matter was more serious than she had imagined.
Uncle Xu saw Su Jian’an standing at the door of the study with coffee in her hands and could not help asking, “Madam, do you need any help?”
Su Jian’an looked at Uncle Xu and asked with some hesitation, “Will I disturb them if I go in now?”
The main reason why she had this concern was that she didn’t know what Lu Boyan and Mu Sijue were talking about in the study.
