Idle Talk(閑話) Ojou-sama of the House (TLN: Idle talk, Gossip, Quiet conversation…. I will just label it Sidestory? Or SS though?)

I, Sisie am a maid of Cosette Ojou-sama who is the daughter of the Edelweiss(エーデルワイス) earl house. (TLN: And then I realized/learned エーデルワイス could also mean alpine flower. So alpine flower house =D sounds pretty.)

I first met Ojou-sama four years ago, it was during my early days of working for this mansion.

At that time I was not attending to Ojou-sama yet, but I often saw Ojou-sama’s appearance.

Because, Ojou-sama is a bit…… No, considerably slow, is slow to move. Walking is slow.

Furthermore, would abruptly come to a stop where there is nothing, while blankly staring for a while into s.p.a.ce.

As I was hurrying about the residence, I often caught sight of Ojou-sama dazed in the garden.

Ojou-sama since childhood was plump similar to a snowman, it wasn’t once or twice that I had mistaken as an ornament and was startled when I drew near.

Honestly I was not very interested in having the privilege of getting along with Ojou-sama, two years after I had come to the earl household, I was ordered to accompany Ojou-sama.

At that time I had thought Ojou-sama was a strange child.

Compared to the beautiful earl couple…… It was a regrettable appearance for Ojou-sama to have. For me who liked beautiful things, I was not very happy.

It is a mystery as to why the gardener Bob-san and the head chef favoured Ojou-sama, and of the shoe craftsman I could not understand the significance of clearly giving priority to making the shoes that were ordered by Ojou-sama.

However I, in less than three days pa.s.sing with Ojou-sama, I was quickly captivated by Ojou-sama in the blink of an eye(in a flash, just like that, in a blink of time).

Surely Ojou-sama is a little…… Because she is well-rounded(plump), although the eyes are crushed by the flesh of her face and looks like a fine thread, her smiling face is very, very cute(pretty)!

Usually, when one becomes an earl(count) or countess, you do not talk to your maid or gardener intimately, let alone say thank you.(TLN: Google keeps switching between earl and count which is throwing me off a bit. But I guess the t.i.tles are interchangable? are they?)

But Ojou-sama, who will smile and laugh happily when happy, servants as well as female servants will give favouritism upon contact after all.

While ordinarily doing work as a servant maid, I think that anyone would come to like in the end, when told thank you along with such a cute smile.

In fact, in order to see Ojou-sama’s delighted smile, without being commanded to do so I would look for things so Ojou-sama may rejoice.

The smile during meal time is especially exceptional, the funny face when eating something delicious, that alone is enough to surround the air with happiness.

The moody and feared head chef would slip out of the kitchen, and secretly watch Ojou-sama’s state while nodding in a.s.sent.

However, there seems to be particular attention from the head chef, for Ojou-sama’s requests in the menu, Ojou-sama’s weight will be even more outrageous…… After saying that, it seems that her favourite items are not made much as often.

Well(Maa), even with cuisines that do not meet her requests, it will still result in repeated second helpings(Okawari), so it is a wasteful effort……

The gardener Bob-san, to see Ojou-sama’s delighted expression, will guide Ojou-sama to the flowers of her liking blooming beautifully.

Thus I, and the shoe craftsman as well.

Unable to use aristocratic euphemistic manner of speaking or conversation with a good tempo, the popular Ojou-sama, does not seem to be well appreciated among everyone of the aristocracy……

We, to such an amiable Ojou-sama, a.s.suredly like very much(Daisuki nanodesu).
