Chapter 10: Training

Since I'm already here, I might as well shoot a couple of rounds.

The rounds I'm going to be using in the test has a different weight than the steel ones I just ordered.

I need to know the difference in feeling and recoil of the real rounds.

'Let try shooting.'

I put took out one round and put in the chamber.

Then I aimed at a tree that was about 20 meters away.

'I thought it will be difficult to load but it's easier than I expected.'

I just needed to put the bullet in the chamber and that's it.

One round chamber guns in the past needed to have gun power put in the barrel with a stick.

This was a gun that used magic and not gunpowder so it was simple.

I a.s.sumed the sitting position and put the b.u.t.t of the rifle in my shoulders.

I put the tree in my line of sight and after holding my breath fired.

Tong -!

I felt a heavy recoil along with a small sound.

Pagik!

The tree that was. .h.i.t had it's bark ripped apart.

"The recoil is way less than the K2 I used in the military. That means the power is just as much lower.

But there are advantages.

Because the gun's weight is light and the recoil is small I can shoot without a.s.suming a proper stance. Plus the sound it makes is small. Thanks to it not being a gun that uses gun powder it doesn't make any unnecessary noise.

I closed in on the tree to inspect it.

There was a small dent where it hit. This was plenty for killing.

If I hit the vitals I could kill the red ape in one shot.

"Silpi."

-Meow.

I told Silpi to find the bullet I just shot.

-Meow.

Silpi flew away somewhere and soon after it fetched the bullet and put it on top my palm.

"I was right....."

As expected the bullet was deformed. It's impossible to reuse. I needed to become a one shot one kill sniper.

This time I shot a little bit farther from the target tree.

Tong!

This time it did not hit the tree.

"Go pick it up Silpi."

Silpi retrieved the bullet for me.

This time with good luck the shape of the bullet was perfectly fine. Seeing as there was a lot of dirt on it, it must have hit the ground.

'Thank goodness. Every single bullet is so precious.'

"Silpi do you happen to know the difference between here and the tree?"

-Meow?

Silpi just turned her head to the side.

'Ah, Silpi doesn't know what a meter is.'

I opened up the ruler app back and showed it to Silpi.

"See here, this is one cm, this is 100 cm and that is equal to 1 meter. Do you understand?"

-Meow!

Silpi answered confidently and wrote down a number on the ground.

41.

I missed even though it was only 41 meters? I can't even hit a huge tree?

'The accuracy isn't very good.'

Then again the K2 rifle I used in the military was a modern weapon developed using science.

On the other hand the one bullet chamber gun I have, just by looking at it, is a old style gun that uses round bullets. Of course the accuracy is up and down.

It has lots of problems since I need to get one hit kills.

Now the only thing I can rely on is Silpi.

"Silpi."

-Meow?

"By chance when I shoot can you use your power to make the bullet hit the tree?"

-Meow.

Silpi nodded her head.

"Okay, I'm just going to shoot randomly so use your power to make it hit the target tree okay? Make sure it hits exactly where we hit the first time okay?"

-Meow!

"Okay, I'm going to shoot."

I put the bullet inside the chamber and quickly a.s.sumed a stance. I pulled the trigger without aiming carefully.

Tong!

At the same time as the gun was shot, Silpi flew away.

Puk!

I heard another sound from the tree. It was a bull's eye.

I ran up to the tree and confirmed it.

Shockingly there was another bullet mark in the dent the first bullet made.

"This is it!"

This was an incredible amount of accuracy.

If I use Silpi helps from now on I was certain on a 100 bull's eyes.

The problem was how much of Silpi was used for the shooting.

"Check skills."

The skill was highlighted when the slate appeared.

-Spirit summon (main skill): You have currently the spirit Silpi summoned.
* Beginner 1st level: Time limit for spirit summoning 2 hrs (Remaining time: 1 hour and 29 minutes) If the time limit is reached you can re-summon only after 10 hours.

The remaining time was reduced greatly.

Shocked I asked Silpi:  "how much time has pa.s.sed since I summoned you?"

Silpi wrote on the ground '17'.

Then from the power Silpi use 14 minutes was used up.

It used up too much of Silpi's power.

'If I think about it, isn't it obvious?'

The bullet that is shot with the rifle is shot at an incredibly how speed and power.

Even with that power, with the power of the wind it can change the direction of the bullet. This means that Silpi obviously uses up that much power.

Plus the distance is only 41 meters.

If it was a long distance, even if Silpi used a little bit of her power the direction would change greatly. Because the distance was so close it took more strength to move the bullet.

'If the enemy I have to fight is only a couple of them then this is plenty but .....'

14 minutes per shot.

Even if shoot only 8 Silpi's time limit is up. If there are many of them then this is a skill I can fight with.

If I use all the time then I can only summon Silpi again after 10 hours.

This was a skill that had too much penalty.

"There must be another way."

I sat down and fell into deep thinking.

The magic gun's accuracy was too unstable. How am I suppose to fight with a gun that can't hit a tree that is 41 meters away. Silpi's help was critical.

Not having any good ideas I lifted the magic gun.

While still sitting I put a bullet inside the chamber and aimed at the target tree.

-Meow.

Silpi sat right up next to me and shook her tail lightly.

Thinking about it, most snipers have someone to help with the shooting beside them right?

It was almost like I was the sniper and Silpi was the helper. Of course there is no helper that was cuter than Silpi.

"Silpi, Would it be good to shoot like this?"

-Meow.

Silpi nodded her head.

"Do you think I can hit where the first bullet landed?"

This time she shook her head.

"Then what do I do?"

Silpi came flew into my sight and using her left foot turned the barrel slightly to the left.

"Shoot like this?"

-Meow.

Silpi nodded her head.

'Okay, let's try shooting like this."

I concentrated to make sure not to sway from the aim that Silpi taught me.

Making sure there wasn't even a small shock I pulled the trigger while stopping my breath.

Tong- pak!

It hit the tree. Silpi seemingly happy ran around in circles on my head. I must have hit the bull's eye.

I ran up to the tree to check.

"Wow!"

The hole was deeper than before.

"This is it!"

This is the way I can shoot a hundred bull's eye without using a lot of Silpi's power!

"Silpi this time I'm going to shoot with my eyes closed. When I pull the trigger adjust the barrel direction for me.

The moment I pulled the trigger, I felt Silpi moving the barrel slightly.

Tong - pak!

Checking again it was another bull's eye. Until now there was only one hole in the tree. This was because all the bullets. .h.i.t only one point!

Silpi power usage was minimal as well. It's not changing the direction of the bullet that was already shot but adjusting the barrel just before shooting so it doesn't need a lot of strength.

This was the answer.

I didn't need to necessarily aim myself!

"Let's try again!"

"Meow!"

This time carrying the gun I ran at top speed. While running I took out one bullet and put it in the chamber.

"Here goes!"

I jumped with all my strength and while shaking in the air I aimed the gun at the tree.

Obviously my aim was off, but I pulled the trigger.

Tong- pak!

Bull's eye!

"Great!"

I shouted in celebrations with my fist clenched.

This was how I am able to hit a 100 bull's eye in a row. This was a result of Silpi's and the gun's best possible combination.
