Angel heard Michael's last words to her. Michael said, "Angel, live on well."

Before Angel could answer Michael she felt pain in her eyes——The light became several times brighter and forced her to close her eyes.

When she opened them again, she only saw a white flower.

The demon and angel had disappeared.

"Michael Daren." Angel staggered over and knelt before the little white flowers, her tears dripping on it little by little.

Angel cupped the little flower in her hands and looked at it carefully. She found that the center of the flower was black with little flickering lights inside it.

So this flower, was it the demon or the angel? Angel gently kissed the petals and fell on the gra.s.sy earth, not wanting to open eyes ever again.

In the spring the next year, the light continent was full of such white flowers. Later, people called this year the era of light, implying that the darkness had disappeared and light had returned to the mainland——In the end, the age of Annihilation was never repeated on this continent and Angel threw away her black cloak and returned to the church with the pope's scepter in hand.

The years that follow are another story.
