Because Song Ni had appeared, the atmosphere had suddenly become tense.
Cui Dao glanced at the paper bag in Song Ni’s hands, and quickly shut his mouth.
Song Ni was Kai Huang’s new rising star, there were even rumors that she was the chairman of Kai Huang’s illegitimate daughter, or Mo Zhen’s secret girlfriend. Although the truth of these rumours were relatively unknown; it was a true fact that Kai Huang had recently put more value on her- even unhesitatingly investing an eight figure number in “G.o.d Forbidden Zone 3” to create a role for Song Ni.
And this role was the female a.s.sistant of the male protagonist.
From the time he debuted until now, Mo Zhen had always kept a very clean private life and hadn’t been involved in any large scandals. However, this time, the rumor of his romance with Song Ni had caused quite an uproar. Cui Dao inconspicuously glanced at the paper bag in Song Ni’s hands, what was the situation now? Was the rumour really true?
Mo Zhen took the paper bag from Song Ni’s hands and looked inside of it. There was indeed his tie, but he did not remember leaving it near Song Ni’s side. He turned to look at Song Ni, his eyes held a faint layer of anger in them. Tang Qiang turned around quickly, looked at the seething smile of Mo Zhen– Emperor Mo, hold back, we must hold back ah!
Mo Zhen bit his lip, shoved the paper bag into Tang Qiang’s hands, and did not speak.
When she saw that Mo Zhen’s stare was freezing cold, Song Ni chuckled a few times; she moved forward to lean on his side and intimately pulled his arm- giving Mo Zhen no chance to escape.
“I was in my car looking at the script, until I was called to begin filming.” Mo Zhen replied, icily.
Song Ni’s smile stiffened for a moment, she recovered her hand that had been firmly grasping Mo Zhen’s arms. Tang Qiang greeted the director quickly, then he followed Mo Zhen to his car.
Mo Zhen was leaning against the back looking at the script; judging from his expression, he was in a very bad mood. Tang Qiang pursed his dry lips and sat in the vacant pa.s.senger’s seat beside Mo Zhen- quickly shutting the car door.
“What happened to my tie?” Although Mo Zhen was still staring at the script, Tang Qiang still felt that he was being heavily scrutinized by the man beside him.
“It was supposed to be in your dressing room.” The company lounge had many of Mo Zhen’s personal belongings, finding a tie should’ve not been too difficult.
“Is my dressing room now a place where dogs and cats can just walk in if they please?” Mo Zhen sneered with cold eyes, his hands tightened around the now crinkled script.
Tang Qiang acted quickly so that the poor script could be saved from Mo Zhen’s anger, “Emperor Mo, calm down, this is the studio!” Tang Qiang had known Mo Zhen for ten years, of course he was not like Mo Zhen’s young fans who naively believed that Mo Zhen was a gentle and elegant n.o.ble young master.
Mo Zhen coldly stared at Tang Qiang, his mouth flattened into a straight line.
Tang Qiang sighed with relief and said to Mo Zhen: “You are aware of the true relations.h.i.+p between Song Ni and the chairman, but I’m still negotiating this matter with company, you’ll have to endure for a few more days.” The company wanted Mo Zhen to help Song Ni gain more exposure, but even blind people could see through this plan. Even so, with Mo Zhen’s temperament and current status, it was impossible for him to immediately agree just because they had asked. Tang Qiang had asked the company several times to get another male artist to go along with the ride, but in the end, his efforts were futile. In fact, the company executives were also very helpless; although Kai Huang had no shortage of popular male celebrities, but Song Ni had resolutely decided that she only wanted to Mo Zhen, thus they were caught in the middle- unable to do anything.
“Tang Qiang, does my contract with Kai Huang expire soon?”
Tang Qiang was shocked that Mo Zhen would ask this question, “Emperor Mo, you don’t intend to quit right?” In order to obtain Mo Zhen, Kai Huang had created a contract that was more favorable for Mo Zhen, if Mo Zhen moved to another company, Tang Qiang doubted that he would ever get a better contract than the one he had currently.
“If that woman, Song Ni, annoys me again, I will.”
Tang Qiang: “… …”
“Mo Zhen, you have shares in Kai Huang, are you prepared to give them up?” Tang Qiang knew Mo Zhen’s strength very well; if he wanted to quit, he could very well make it happen, it was even possible for him to start his own company. But if he left Kai Huang, wouldn’t all the effort he had put in to solve this problem be in vain? “I will pa.s.s on your message to the company and I’m sure they’ll know what to do.”
Mo Zhen snorted and took the script from Tang Qiang’s hands, no longer speaking.
Tang Qiang pulled out a bunch of food from the car, and asked Mo Zhen what he wanted to eat. Mo Zhen glanced at the snacks in Tang Qiang’s hands and finally opened a bag of black sesame bread.
Tang Qiang saw Mo Zhen bite mouthfuls of bread and was a little comforted. When it came to Mo Zhen, Tang Qiang had to practically beg Mo Zhen to eat, this guy did not appreciate his efforts at all.
Mo Zhen’s stomach had always been very weak, if he does not pay close attention to what he eats, he would have to suffer through stomach pain; however in the end, the busiest person would always become Tang Qiang. Fortunately, Mo Zhen did not get fat when he ate, otherwise he would become like all the other artists who were guaranteed to spend two days in the hospital when they decided to diet.
Ah Yao, who had been sitting opposite of Mo Zhen, stared at him curiously for a while, and finally could not help but ask: “That woman, Song Ni, what is she to you?
“It’s none of your business,” Mo Zhen replied with a small piece of bread in his mouth.
“What did you say?” Tang Qiang turned to look at Mo Zhen, Mo Zhen calmly swallowed the bread in the mouth, “Lines.”
Tang Qiang: “… …”
Emperor Mo was so dedicated!
“Tang Qiang, help me buy the most recent newspapers.” Mo Zhen bit a piece of bread, and asked Tang Qiang.
Tang Qiang looked strangely at Mo Zhen, “What do you need the newspaper for?”
“Of course, it is because of the concern for people’s living conditions.”
Tang Qiang: “… …”
Not only was Emperor Mo Zhen dedicated to his career, but he also cared about the people in this world!
Mo Zhen ate two-thirds of the bread when there was a knock at the door, Tang Qiang pushed open the car door and the crew member called Mo Zhen to get his makeup done.
