Why am I in this kind of place….?

When I woke up, I realized that I had never been in this place before.

This was not my room.

This was completely different from my own room as it was frightfully dreary.

This room, the arrangement of the furniture, and it was also very s.p.a.cious.

"Have you already woken up?"

As I got up, a tenor voice echoed inside the room.

I quickly straightened myself as I tried to express my grat.i.tude.

"Ye- Yes!"

Despite the overwhelming pressure from the person in front of me, I tried to express my thanks, though I was puzzled as to where this place was; and why he and I were here in the first place.

"Marianne-sama's father, do you need to be somewhere else?"

As soon as my mind cleared up, I began to understand the situation around me.

To say something like that to Marianne-sama's father, wasn't this kind of a bad situation?

"That's right. I am your father."

Without changing his expression, he had somehow announced some frightening words.

I finally learnt about the unusual revelation event that happened at yesterday's party

Then, I belonged to the Royal Family?

And this person was my real father?

Fearfully, I looked at Duke Diogenes.

Though his cold expression looked stern but somehow I am aware of his warm gaze…

No, it must be my imagination.

His face was scary after all. I am sorry.

Yesterday, I should had fall asleep in my room as usual…

"I am sorry. I bought you here without your permission."

…Duke Diagones? Me?

I am sorry, I still can't read his expression.

I truly did not understand what was in his mind.

"I am truly inadequate as your father. But Duke Hydorosa…"

Duke Diogenes began to face downward as he talked.

I understand.

Since Duke Hydorosa already announced that I was not his real daughter, it was no longer necessary for me to stay in that house.

They will try to expel me from that house immediately.

Now that I think about it.

I do not have any place that I can go to nor will I be able to do anything alone.

"I do not mind if you want to stay here."

Duke Diogenes said that as his eyes began to look elsewhere.

"No, it's okay."

I refused his offer.

For me, this person was Marianne-sama's father, someone who did not have any kind of relations.h.i.+p with me.

"Wa- please wait!"

He tried to stop me when I tried to get out of the room.

"I- I am truly sorry. Really. Just as you see, I am deeply sorry."

Suddenly Duke Diogenes was down on his knees as he apologized.

"Pl- please stop doing this!"

Th- This doesn't suit you at all.

The officers had always praised Duke Diogenes as someone who were cool-headed and rigid, thus-

"Will you please think about this for a moment? I do not mind letting you go out of this room; if you prefer to be free. -But, if possible, will you stay with me even just for a while–?"

There seemed to be some kind of strange feeling welled up from my heart me as I heard Duke Diogenes’s plea.

There have never been a person who asked for me as much as him.

Until now, this kind of development had never happened.

… To be honest, it made me think [What?]

According to Duke Diogenes explanation, it seemed that he had been aware since earlier that Marianne and I had been exchanged with each other…

Thereupon, can you really believe this person who had left this matter alone despite knowing about it? -It was impossible for me.

In the first place, it was not a problem for me to live alone. Therefore, there was no need for me to stick around here, right?

"I understand."

This person might be my father, now that I think about it.

Duke Diagones doesn't seem to change his expression much, however, I can see glittering aura emitting from behind him. A~ it seemed that it was actually easy for me to understand when this person was actually in a joyous mood.

Leticia unintentionally laughed out loud.

Sorry for the late chapter…Well the proverb “what happens twice will happen thrice.” really proven to be true. Since the last disaster of the burst Tyre and room’s key two days ago’ yesterday, my car’s battery given up on me when I  am in the process of reverse parking my car in the shopping mall.. Σ(‐△‐●) What a disaster. I have to push the car into the parking lot before hailing a taxi to my usual workshop (which fortunately close).. which lead to an exhausting day and late chapter as I lazying around and catching up with my sleep.. tehepero~ (人´∀｀)．☆．。．:*･°
