Chapter 4 (Church 1)

「Oh yeah, I never told you it. I’m 佐糖琢磨, you read it as Tak.u.ma Satou, and I’m 35 years old. It was a bit chaotic, so I forgot to say it. Is it okay if I hear yours? 」

「Were you born in this city, Kyle?」

Where he pointed to looked clearly like a typical church. It wasn’t too large, but it seemed like the townspeople could go there easily. A Sister in front of the church was making small talk, and Kyle started talking to her.

「My name is Tak.u.ma Satou. I came to make prayers, so Kyle showed me the way.」

「Hey Tak.u.ma, earlier, you didn’t use Clear (クリア) on the chibi*… does your hometown not have any livelihood magic (生活魔法*) in your hometown?」*TL: Chibi is little person or little thing, referring to the wolf pup. 生活魔法 is Seikatsu Mahou, literally “livelihood/daily life magic.”

「Hm? I didn’t say it earlier? My hometown doesn’t seem to have anything like magic.」

「No no no, I get that there are people who can’t use healing magic or offensive magic, but everyone in this world can use livelihood magic, so what do you do about water and fire without it? 」

While chatting about that, Sister came to save me at the right moment.

She said that, and went towards the wolf pup.
