"I have no interest in your relations.h.i.+p." His hand, holding an expensive fountain pen, briefly hovered over the doc.u.ment. The pen tip suddenly left a deep mark. Liang Xi Cheng didn't wait for Yan Liang to finish speaking before interrupting. "But you must remember your rank and your position."

His unreasonable remark made Yan Liang pale. She knew she made a mistake. Explaining didn't have any significance.

Also, explanations are the same as cover ups. Cover ups are the beginnings of a mistake. Forget it!
She got caught red-handed. Actually, she also knew Liang Xi Cheng's personal opinion of her wouldn't get better any time soon. Actually what she wanted to explain was for him not to be mistaken. Because of his relations.h.i.+p with Liang Jing Shan, she really didn't want to have any other misunderstandings.

"I apologize, Chairman Liang. I know just then I failed to do my job, but from now on, I will pay attention. I'll go ahead and leave now." She watched the man, who never once lifted his head toward her, slightly nod his head in response. Then she retreated from the office.

When the heavy oaken door closed, the man who was immersed in the pile of doc.u.ments actually suddenly lifted his head.

In that pair of deep and enchanting eyes, a complex and hard to distinguish gleam flitted in the depths------

Ning Zhi Yuan, Bai Yan Liang......

Back there he indeed did overhear what they were talking about. Any idiot would know the relations.h.i.+p between the two wasn't shallow. But what was that about Jing Shan?

Bai Yan Liang......Bai Yan Liang......

The fountain pen was throw aside with a clatter. He crossed his arms over his chest and settled deeply into the chair. s.e.xy, thin lips slightly pressed together. In his heart, he repeated the name twice. After a moment, the corner of his lips slightly turned up. His black eyes subconsciously narrowed.

-------Looks like he underestimated this Bai Yan Liang. Right now she was fighting with his little sister over a man?

It was already late autumn. At 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning it was especially cold. When Yan Liang got out of the taxi, she felt the chill a.s.saulting her senses. She couldn't help s.h.i.+vering. The driver called out, "Miss, don't forget your luggage. I already opened the trunk!"

"Oh, thank you, sir."

She breathed in through her nose. She reached into her purse and handed money over to the driver.  Then she walked around and got her suitcase out. Looking at the time, it just happened to be 5:30.
She rapidly walked through the airport doors.

The man who was always unruffled [1] just happened to be sitting in the waiting area of the airport lounge. On top of his slender legs was an ultrthin laptop. Ten fingers were rapidly controlling it.

Yan Liang sighed internally. Liang Xi Cheng really was a workaholic. They agreed to meet at the airport at 6:00. Actually she was early by half an hour, but he was unexpectedly already there.

She rubbed her nose. Pulling her luggage, she walked forward, "Good morning, Chairman Liang."

Liang Xi Cheng made a deep "Mm" sound. As always, he was cold and disinterested; he didn't even look up to glance at her. Nevertheless, he reached a hand out in her direction.

Yan Liang blanked for a moment. She just stared at that beautiful hand. For a long time she had no reaction to what he meant.

"......Um, Chairman Liang, do you want something?" Holding his hand out means he wants something right?

[1] The man who was always unruffled

The sentence is 那个任何时候都可以保持着最完美的状态的男人 . It translates into the man who has a perfect mood/state of mind at any time. It sounded a bit awkward, so I changed that to "always unruffled" instead.
