J: Surprise~ X7
We searched by looking around the dungeon from the bottom to the top moving around here and there.
The land was flat in shape and the bottom was an upside down triangle.
What should I say, it looked like a large piece of land was plucked out.
"What happens if we go in there?"
Edward said.
"Not sure. Wouldn't it be the same as going into a dungeon? It is a problem that there's no exit though."
We have currently entered the Alpha system in an abnormal way.
That is the reason we were able to see such a sight. However, if we were to enter the dungeon then we would automatically be included in the normal situation and that would be the same as being in a regular dungeon.
The problem is that the dungeon is closed.
In that case there was no entrance or exit and there's a high possibility that it would be impossible to exit the dungeon once trapped inside.
OF course, I was planning on entering at least once despite that.
I had escape so there was probably no problem.
For now, I didn't have to worry about how to get in.
I felt myself getting pulled towards the dungeon automatically just by getting near it after all. Once I felt myself getting pulled as if by the Earth's gravity, a blue sky soon appeared over my head and I found myself cras.h.i.+ng towards the earth at tremendous speed.
It was on the level of skydiving. My limbs would get dismembered if this went on huh.
However, I had many ways to decrease my speed. I used the Dancing Sword and Psychokinesis to decrease my speed for now and carefully landed on the surface.
The place Edward and I landed at was a place near a small river. The orc warriors of the settlement nearby that spotted us started causing an uproar.
"Kuerk!"
"Kurkrek!"
Once I swung the Dancing Sword at the things running while shouting in a hard to p.r.o.nounce language and holding weapons, a dozen orcs instantly collapsed covered in blood.
Returning to the void and item collection was completed at the same time and I was able to confirm ores coming in normally.
For now, the dungeon itself was normal.
"Shall we clear it first."
I opened the item list and set the monster army free.
Once I took out all 300 monsters it didn't even take 30 minutes to clear the dungeon.
That was also the time it took to find the monsters, it barely took any time to kill them.
All the monsters in the dungeon had died but the dungeon still wasn't cleared.
"As expected, is it because there's no exit?"
There's no exit if there's no entrance.
I was wondering whether I should just escape using the escape scroll when I could hear a roar that shook the entire dungeon.
That's when I remembered something I had been forgetting.
"Ah. Irregular."
There were often times when this happened when I entered a dungeon.
Irregulars usually appear when monsters are killed too quickly but it seems that's the same here as well.
The monster that appeared because of that was a level 5 Iron Golem.
[Human. You dare wake…….]
The golem made of metal got cut cleanly in half.
Its core got destroyed at the same time its body got cut so it stopped moving without being able to do anything.
– You have obtained 5 item Escape Scrolls.
The item that dropped was quite a let down.
It was an item I had over 100 of after all. However, since it wasn't like I was going to farm I ripped an Escape Scroll while trying not to think about how much of a shame it was.
The moment I ripped it, my body left the dungeon.
As expected the place I arrived at was the s.p.a.ce. It seems I appeared here since there was no exit.
"Urg. This is pretty nauseating."
Edward who left the dungeon a bit after said so while shaking his head.
"Either way, what are you planning on doing now?"
"Wait a bit."
I carefully inspected the dungeon we just left.
The reason I went in this place that had no particular profit was to see the sight of the dungeon being reset.
Normally, we weren't able to see a dungeon after leaving it but it was possible here after all.
Soon after, in the quiet dungeon interior the loud sound of machinery rang out.
I was looking in to see what the noise was all of a sudden when a door opened in the middle of a low mountain and monsters came pouring out of it.
It wasn't only that.
From the ground, in a cave, and in water, monsters came out.
Each time that happened a noisy machinery sound could be heard.
It was like taking out monsters from a refrigerator that was installed somewhere in the dungeon.
Edward opened his mouth.
"It looks like taking out something from a refrigerated storage."
For now, I was shocked in two ways.
The dungeon reset was actually a realm of mystery.
However, the thing I was seeing was no mystery. It was just releasing monsters through a door that was installed somewhere.
In fact, it was better to call it a realm of technology instead.
The second is that the monsters seemed to be released to be hunted.
It can't be helped that it's weird.
Monsters normally treat humanity like their enemies. No matter who it was, they would have infinite enmity towards living humans.
For that reason, it was thought that their objective was the annihilation of mankind.
But looking at this, it was difficult to say so. In fact, it seemed more like giving humans food.
Humans would hunt the monsters in the dungeon and monsters would wait for humans to come in after getting hunted.
This was like.
It was no different than an amus.e.m.e.nt park waiting for customers.
After thinking up to that point my head shot up at the chill that I suddenly felt.
At the place my sight reached was a huge sun. In the middle of the sun that was s.h.i.+ning brightly until just a moment before was a huge pupil looking at me.
The figure of it looking at me as if looking through a telescope made it impossible for me to move as if my entire body was tied up.
[So there's an uninvited guest.]
A heavy voice. That voice was reverberating throughout the universe.
……!
***
Once I regained myself, the pupil of the sun could no longer be seen.
Edward opened his mouth. His voice was trembling.
"Just now…… What was that?"
"Not sure. Probably the Alpha system."
"That means it saw us."
"Yeah."
The change was already happening. The s.p.a.ce that was calm until just now started swaying.
The stars started shaking and a haze started rising from below.
It was as if the entire s.p.a.ce was water inside a pot and that water started boiling.
Also, everything spilled over.
The next moment I was on an endlessly wide plain. The numerous stars had all disappeared and the only thing above my head was the blinding sun.
Also, something was running towards this place while causing shockwaves.
I thought that it would be a monster sent by the Alpha system that realized my existence.
Wouldn't it be a guy like the Grabgor I wonder.
It might also be hundreds or thousands of normal monsters.
I wasn't thinking that this would be a place where I could just sightsee carefreely anyway.
I was waiting thinking that I would destroy as much as I could when something I didn't expect at all came into my sights.
"What's that?"
That came out of my mouth unconsciously.
Existences that neared 1km. They were all monsters with exposed bones and muscles.
Their entire bodies were colored white and looked like mannequins without weapons.
It was like…….
"Looks like they weren't finished making them."
Edward said.
I nodded my head. The things rus.h.i.+ng towards me.
It was difficult to understand even if it was me saying it but those were incomplete monsters.
???(??) : ???
No information appeared on the manual. There was no name, level, or characteristic. This was all information that wasn't bestowed in the first place.
Things that had no existence, only figures.
I drew the Dancing Sword.
I didn't know the enemys' ability.
Just that fact alone made my heart beat furiously.
I had battled with perfect information as the basis until now.
That was the same even before obtaining the manual. I would familiarize myself with information on the dungeon, a.n.a.lyze characteristics of monsters and patterns, and followed an optimized battle form.
This was the method I fought until now.
However, the thing in front of me was an unknown opponent. It was the bare Alpha system that I had never seen before.
How far could I go against that?
My heart beat like crazy.
"Are you going to wait like that? We should immediately run aw……."
Edward looked at me and stopped his words.
"You have no plans on escaping."
"It's information gathering."
"Is that so?"
Edward tilted his head and retreated.
I held the Dancing Sword and faced the enemies that were running towards me.
I couldn't tell how many there were.
There were enough to be impossible to count with the naked eye and there was a great number of monsters stampeding behind them after all.
It would be a great profit if they were to drop just one among reward points, items, or ores after all.
"You're seriously planning on doing this right?"
Edward said. I nodded.
I wasn't planning on sparing any strength. I would fight with my all and it wouldn't be too late to retreat after my strength has been exhausted.
I released all the monsters in the item list.
All the monsters excluding Baek Gyeong showed their figures.
A number that neared a total of 400. It could be said that they were elite among elites that only consisted of monsters above level 3 after a series of battles.
I prepared for the first clash against the white monsters after controlling my monsters with the Recruitment skill.
A wedge shaped formation with the strongest monsters in the front.
Normally it could be said to be a charging formation. It's normally not used for defense but it was a situation where enemies were rus.h.i.+ng forward irregularly.
I could split the enemies that seemed like they would charge even if we stood still, into two.
Also, at the very front was the level 8 Black Tiger and me standing there.
Ahhh!
The enemies rushed forward like a wave with a bizarre cry.
The monster at the very front was a 3 meter tall Grizzly Gorilla. Of course, since it wasn't complete it didn't have a complete figure.
It's normally a level 6 monster but how is it now I wonder?
I threw the Dancing Sword at its chest.
The sword that ate a bunch of Aura Blade penetrated the gorilla's chest.
It collapsed while grasping the hole on its chest.
[+600]
The reward points came in like normal. It was weaker than I thought too.
Being incomplete meant that it was worse than the complete. I washed away the unease in me and started swinging the Dancing Sword with Aura Blade randomly.
My monster army confronted the enemies without stepping forward.
After completing the charging formation, I swung the sword like crazy.
Due to that, the white wave got split in half in front of me.
There were some that separated while trying escaping the Aura Blade but they had no choice but to move forward due to their allies rus.h.i.+ng forward from behind so they started getting cut up one after another.
The two monster armies rampaged to eat up each other.
However, the one that won was always this side.
The white monsters started dying off soon.
It was a shame that they didn't drop any items.
The interesting fact was that they gave EP instead of items.
