The Dog's New Goal in Life

Lu Chenghe had the habit of running in the morning and his biological clock woke him up very punctually. As soon as he sat up, he looked at the kennel placed across from the bed as well as the little Samo in the kennel who was sleeping sprawled out on its back. This little puppy being well-behaved was somewhat unexpected. It was quiet all night and didn't make any sound, making Lu Chenghe rather satisfied. If the little thing was noisy at night, Lu Chenghe would definitely throw it out.

But this way of sleeping was still too ugly, Lu Chenghe didn't know whether the dog trainer could correct the dog's sleeping position.

Hearing some rustling sounds, Zuo Ning immediately opened his eyes. The little short legs turned over and sat up. He slept too early yesterday so today, he woke up a long time ago and his stomach had also started rumbling. Unfortunately, the amount in the food bowl was of a fixed quant.i.ty as they were worried about the dog not knowing when it was full and stuffing itself to death. Yesterday, he was hungry in the middle of the night and ate all of the food in the food bowl.

Seeing that Lu Chenghe had gotten up, he jolted toward him and followed.

As Lu Chenghe solved his bodily problems, he squatted by the door. Lu Chenghe began to brush his teeth and wash his face while Zuo Ning sat by Lu Chenghe's feet. When Lu Chenghe went to the cloakroom to change clothes, Zuo Ning quickly ran to his special small toilet and quickly solved his own bodily problems before running back to the door of the cloakroom and sitting down.

After a while, Zuo Ning looked up and saw Lu Chenghe coming out of the cloakroom wearing sportswear.

Yesterday, he saw Lu Chenghe wearing loungewear. Even if it was loungewear, it was hard to hide the sharpness of the person wearing it. Perhaps it was because he turned into a dog as the natural instincts of the small animal made him unconsciously fearful of Lu Chenghe.

But today, because his hair probably hadn't been styled yet and he was wearing a set of sportswear full of youthfulness, his disposition seemed much less sharp, and Zuo Ning only now discovered that Lu Chenghe's age shouldn't be too old. However, his figure was truly amazing. His thin waist and long straight legs made Zuo Ning incomparably envious.

After changing his clothes and coming out, Lu Chenghe saw that foolish and meng little appearance. Seeing it wait outside of the door in a well-behaved manner, he let out a rare smile. Not waiting for Zuo Ning to react, he walked straight outside and Zuo Ning promptly followed. Although dog food was unpalatable, at any rate, it was food. When you're hungry, there's no need to be picky and moreover, he wasn't qualified to be picky right now.

Additionally, he didn't know what this man's breakfast would be or if he could eat some of it today. But even if he couldn't eat it now, after waiting for his position in this family to stabilize, he will one day be able to eat human food!

Not knowing of Zuo Ning's new ambitions, Lu Chenghe went straight to the backyard. The steward and the maid were already standing on the promenade with towels and other items. Only now did Zuo Ning realize that his understanding of this family was not deep enough.

He thought that the place he lives now was a huge mansion, but looking at it now, it seemed to be a luxury mansion. It was just like the manors that he had previously seen on television. Whose house's backyard was large like a small forest with a huge artificial lake?!

Not discovering Zuo Ning's suddenly lifeless eyes, Lu Chenghe stretched his muscles. Looking down at Zuo Ning, he said: "Stay here. Don't run around everywhere."

After speaking, Lu Chenghe started to run. Seeing that Zuo Ning was really obediently sitting in the same spot, he started to quicken his pace.

Looking at Lu Chenghe who had already run far away, Zuo Ning miserably sat right on the ground. He felt that the only benefit of becoming a dog was that he could sleep anywhere and at any time. However, he was really, really, really hungry. Where's his breakfast? This was simply dog abuse.

Zuo Ning felt that he had waited for a century when at last, he saw the figure of Lu Chenghe running back. Not waiting for the steward and the maid to move, he suddenly went out and pushed his calf lightly: "Awoo~" Can we eat yet? I'm going to starve to death.

Lu Chenghe felt that this puppy was afraid of him from the beginning yesterday. From when he was born, he had never raised a pet and most of the kittens and puppies which were friendly to others would show some fear when they saw him. When seeing those fragile little animals, he was also afraid of accidentally killing one so Lu Chenghe's treatment of animals could be described as not looking, not touching, and not paying attention.

As he has been like this since childhood, everyone around him thought that he hated animals and since then, no one had brought him to see their pets. So at this moment, seeing the sudden enthusiasm of the little puppy, Lu Chenghe was somewhat surprised.

Taking the towel handed over by the steward, Lu Chenghe wiped off the sweat from his body and lowered his head to look at the little thing who was still holding onto his leg. He bent over to pick it up and walked toward the bathroom. On the first floor, there was an especially convenient bathroom for Lu Chenghe to use after his morning exercise. After all, going back to the bedroom would waste too much time.

The person and the dog both didn't notice the slightly surprised expression of the housekeeper behind them. It seems like it wasn't that the young master doesn't like pets, he just hadn’t met one he had an affinity with? The madam's vision was really good. With one pick, she picked up one that the young master liked.

After carrying Zuo Ning into the bathroom, Lu Chenghe put it onto the sofa and pointing at Zuo Ning's little head with his index finger: "Don't move."

Seeing that Zuo Ning didn't move at all, Lu Chenghe couldn't help but smile: "It's really a smart little thing." After speaking, he turned around and entered the shower.

Zuo Ning, who was already hungry enough to doubt life, could only miserably continue to wait. Waiting and waiting, he unconsciously bit his own little paws. The meaty pads were rather tasty. Moreover, just before Lu Chenghe put him on the sofa, he used a towel to wipe him and smelling it brought about a bit of a fragrant smell.

Lu Chenghe came out to see the little thing biting its own paws on the sofa. Suddenly, he walked over with his eyebrows furrowed and gave a not too light, not too heavy slap to the paw that was being bitten: "You're not allowed to bite it. If you keep biting, I won't give you food." If it ate until it had a stomach full of fur and developed pica, that would be difficult to control in the future.

After that, he was still worried that it wouldn't remember this in the future so he slapped the paws two more times. Pointing at its black nose: "”In the future, you are not allowed to randomly eat things. If you dare to, you will be beaten.”

Zuo Ning saw Lu Chenghe's somewhat fierce appearance but he was not afraid at all. After shaking his tail and going "Awoo~" once, he stretched his paws and climbed onto his body. He was afraid of Lu Chenghe being indifferent but not afraid of him being fierce as in any case, fierceness still had some emotion. On the other hand, indifference was just too scary as the thoughts of the other person would be unclear.

Seeing that the little thing wasn't scared at all and even threw itself onto him, Lu Chenghe also didn't know whether it understood what he was saying. Thus, Lu Chenghe thought that when the dog trainer came, he definitely had to talk with them about how many little pets die from pica and how bad habits have to be changed from a young age.

Holding the little puppy as he walked to the dining hall, Lu Chenghe sat down and asked the steward directly: "Make something that it can eat. It doesn't have to be limited to dog food."

Since the steward could be the steward of the Lu family, it was certain that he had some ability. If everything needed to be said before he did it, then he wouldn't have been able to stay with the Lu family for so many years. After seeing that the young master was interested in feeding the puppy shrimp meat last night, he asked a pet nutritionist about how the dog should be fed.

Today's breakfast was perfect for giving the little puppy another type of food to try. After hearing the words of the young master, the steward said "I have already contacted a pet nutrition specialist. Today, Little Pudding's food has already been changed to beef and breadcrumbs mixed with some nutrition powder. In the future, its food will also not be limited to dog food."

Lu Chenghe nodded and Zuo Ning who heard the steward's words suddenly looked forward to breakfast. Not mentioning anything else, just the breadcrumbs would probably be better tasting than dog food!

Lu Chenghe didn't let people put the food bowl on the ground. Instead, he put it on the chair beside him. When the food bowl was brought to him, Zuo Ning's eyes lit up. From dog food to bread, this was also considered a breakthrough right? Furthermore, yesterday he let him eat on the ground, but today he could eat on the chair. His position was rising day by day!

When the breadcrumbs mixed with tender beef entered his mouth, Zuo Ning was moved to tears by food for the first time. Although there still wasn't much flavour, there was still 100 times more flavour than the dog food. Lu Chenghe saw that the little thing was eating this special food much faster than the dog food and said to the steward: "Under the premise of not affecting its health, try to keep it as close to what it likes to eat as possible"

The steward nodded, to the average person, feeding dog food to their dogs was convenient as dog food contains a variety of nutrients that dogs need and eating dog food was healthier for them. However, for this family, whatever nutrients the dog needed could be taken from food, and in the future, there would be specialized people in charge of the dog's food.

If it wasn't for the madam's sudden whim to raise a dog, preparations wouldn't have been so rushed; there wasn't even enough time to hire someone specialized in making food. If it wasn't because of their worry that the doggy wouldn't be able to adapt if its food suddenly changed, they also wouldn't have given Little Pudding dog food to eat for the first few days.

After hearing this, Zuo Ning once again confirmed that he must hold Lu Chenghe’s thighs. Sure enough, only after following the right people will there be meat to eat.

Thus, Lu Chenghe who had finished his breakfast and was preparing to go to the company found that this little thing seemed to stick to him more. Climbing onto his body with vigour, it seemed to know that he wanted to go out without taking it with him.

However, no matter how casual Lu Chenghe was, it was impossible for him to take a dog to work. Toward the little thing that rarely stuck to him, he softened and said some words about wanting it to be well-behaved and obedient. Afterwards, it was the steward who held it and they sent Lu Chenghe away together.

With Lu Chenghe's att.i.tude, Zuo Ning's position in the Lu family was temporarily stabilized. As long as he isn't abandoned in the future, it can be said that his life would be even better than some people's.

Looking at the little thing's foolish expression, the steward pointed at its nose: "You will have a good life following the madam and young master. It's very rare to catch the eye of the young master so in the future, you have to be well-behaved and obedient, okay?"

Zuo Ning waved his tail with some restraint. In this regard, he recognized it early on and is working hard!
