But Qingfeng Li had a death grip on Black Puppy’s tail. “You can’t go!” He dragged the Puppy back, saying, “You’ll meet the same fate as the Sky-Devouring Snake.”

He had already lost Sky-Devouring Snake; he didn’t want to lose Black Puppy as well.

Immediately after, the arrogant voice from Mars disappeared as well. It was as though it was never there.

At the same time, on the surface of Mars beneath them, there appeared six beams of white light. They enveloped Qingfeng Li, Black Puppy, Xue Lin, Fate Elder, Qixuan Zhenren, the Eastern Sea Prince, and the Third Princess. They were carried away to someplace unknown.

However, each of the six beams of light shot out in a different direction; to the east, the west, the north and south. Only Qingfeng Li and Black Puppy were headed in the same direction.

Qingfeng Li saw the images before his eyes blur. There was a flash of white light, and then he was wrapped in a ball of energy.

This ball of energy was like a transportation array, taking him straight into some unknown pa.s.sageway.

Not far from him was Black Puppy. Other than that, he could not see anyone else; they had all been sent in other directions.

“Oh no.” Qingfeng Li’s face grew pale, a hint of terror appearing in his eyes. “This white light is drawing on my spiritual power and vital essence!”

Qingfeng Li had initially thought that the white light that appeared was a good thing. He did not expect there to be a monstrous devouring force coming from the ball of white light. It was devouring what little vital essence and power remained in his body.
