MMORPG: The Elementalist Chapter 94: Ice Queen's Sister

Initially, Qin Ruo was about to try and scare Li Xinqin off to just leave him alone. However, when Zheng Xiaoxiao offered some information in exchange for the little devil to be nice to her, his plan was derailed. Just then, Qin Ruo realized that the little devil wearing human skin immediately abandon him and went on to be Xiaoxiao's new play toy. The little devil was trying so hard to be on Xiaoxiao's good side that all sort of praises and sweet talk were used; calling her elder sister, cute sister, all sorts of sister prefixes! All the while, with hopes of obtaining secrets about Qin Ruo.

Qin Ruo scratched his head at the sight and decided to let the two girls be after a while. He then went back to his desk to switch on his computer to send Li Lanlan a message.

Li Lanlan did not take long to respond. In less than a minute after the message was sent, he heard Li Xinqin exclaim loudly in a surprised tone.

"Ah! Sis?!

"Goodbye Sister Xiaoxiao! I have to attend cla.s.s now!"

With a trace of panic in her voice, Xinqin rapidly disappeared.

Qin Ruo could see a smirk on Zheng Xiaoxiao's face not long after. She then strode toward him gracefully.

"That little brat is gone?"

"Uh huh."

As Xiaoxiao's desk was next to Qin Ruo's, she craned her delicate neck over and whispered, "Who would have thought that she's the ice queen's sister. Strange… Even though they are equally beautiful, their personalities are completely different."

"What so strange about that? Different people have different characteristics and personalities."

Qin Ruo's response came automatically after his sigh of relief. Deciding there was nothing wrong with his reply, he then asked Xiaoxiao about her conversation with the young brat.

"Just look at you, you're being overly nervous! She's just a kid, it's not like she can eat you up."

Xiaoxiao rolled her eyes at him.

Qin Ruo knew that he would suffer in the near future if Xiaoxiao had revealed his home address and phone number to her.

"Don't worry, I was just giving her some advice. That you are not the problem, but her sister."

Xiaoxiao's triumphant reply took him by surprise.

"What did you tell her?"

"Just the truth," Xiaoxiao smugly explained, "I told her that you prefer feminine girls. In order to make you like her sister, she must be able to transform her sister's current 'ice queen' image. Hehe! Am I brilliant or what?"

"Yes, very!"

Qin Ruo gave her a thumbs up.

It's no wonder that a simple sentence from Xiaoxiao could make Xinqin s.h.i.+ft her attention to her elder sister. Haha! How can she force her sister to like me? That's awesome! Now this matter will not be up to Xinqin anymore; she would eventually give up after realizing how challenging that would be.

"Well, since I've done you a great favor, you should treat me today!"

"Who's treating? I'm in!"

Before Qin Ruo could open his mouth in reply, Brother Da was swiftly approaching them, which did not match his huge size. Brother Da turned from Qin Ruo to Xiaoxiao and asked, "Who's treating?"

"You heard wrong!"

Qin Ruo and Xiaoxiao were in silent agreement and turned their head at the same time.

When Qin Ruo left the office in the afternoon, Brother Da gave him a bear hug from the back. Qin Ruo gasped and grimaced. "Hey boss, could you be slightly gentler? After all, you weigh more than 180 kg..."

"It's 178…"

w.a.n.g Da loosened his grip and corrected Qin Ruo disgruntedly. He then asked, "So how? Have you considered it? Will you come tonight?" His question was related to Citadel's raid of course, about killing the Gargantuan Demoncroc.

As soon as Qin Ruo heard this, he hesitated and did not give him a direct response.

"I've collected 100, 000 gold coins so far and I'm now on Slayer's Heart team. If everything goes smoothly, I can earn enough money for Xin Yu's surgery fees in a month!"

"Really?"

This made w.a.n.g Da freeze momentarily. After Qin Ruo nodded, w.a.n.g Da broke into a smile. He patted Qin Ruo's back heartily. "Good job bro! Xin Yu is more important than anything else, you don't have to join tonight's raid. Keep it up!"

Qin Ruo nodded again, fervently this time. As long as Brother Da understood, it no longer mattered if other colleagues from the company did not.

"That's great. If Sister Xin Yu knows about this, she'll be really happy! Let's go and see Xin Yu together. We have to tell her this great news!" w.a.n.g Da hailed a taxi while saying.

After getting into the taxi and pondering, Qin Ruo decided to only tell Xin Yu after he got enough money for her surgery fees. It was better to give her a surprise. If he told her now and something goes wrong in the future… He was afraid it would be a false promise which would hurt her again.

"You are right."

w.a.n.g Da let out a sigh and nodded silently in the car.

Looking at the cars speeding past through the busy street that was filled with crowded pedestrians, Qin Ruo suddenly realized that his mood was very different compared to the previous days. In the past, he would come up with interesting topics and share them with Xin Yu when they met. Yet now, his mind was calm, as if it had never been before.

"After Xin Yu undergoes the surgery and gets better, what are you going to do?" Brother Da's calm voice rang in his ears.

Qin Ruo withdrew his gaze from the window but did not look at Brother Da. He then opened his mouth in reply, "We'll see."

"We'll see?! I think you need to decide now. Knowing Xin Yu's personality, once she recovers, she would definitely love you forever… But… What about Xiaoxiao? Your relations.h.i.+p…" After saying all that, w.a.n.g Da sighed heavily again and leaned on the back seat of the taxi.

In the entire company, Brother Da was the only one who understood Qin Ruo and Xiaoxiao's relations.h.i.+p.

Back then when Xiaoxiao first guided Qin Ruo to the ways of the company, no one thought that this strong and independent woman who stole the hearts of hundreds of single men of the company would come to like this newcomer. She liked him despite him keeping a distance away and that he was several months younger.

w.a.n.g Da was certain about this because he had helped the new blood Qin Ruo when he first stepped into the company. After that, they knew each other and became best friends. There were many things that could be kept a secret, yet was shared between Qin Ruo and him.

This included Qin Ruo needing to bear most of the medical expenses for a girl suffering from leukemia. Brother Da also knew of Xiaoxiao's misunderstanding when she learned that he used up all his salary just for this girl that he was not romantically involved with.
